Terms of Use Statement/
Release of Liability & Assumption of Risk:
All information and products presented through Pittsboro Raw Honey
Apiary, or associated manufacturers, have not been evaluated by the
United States FDA, and are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or
prevent any disease. The products are neither manufactured nor
prescribed for any medical condition. They are manufactured for use as
an important addition to your daily life. If you have a health
condition, you are advised to seek medical opinions from health
professionals before making any changes in your health regimens.
Please note:
raw honey may be the
safer sugar to use, but you should not use it in excessive amounts. If
you have elevated insulin/leptin levels, you will need to minimize your
use of any sugars -- including raw honey. Honey should not be given to
infants under two years old. Honey produced from the
flowers of rhododendrons, mountain laurels, sheep laurel, and azaleas
may cause honey intoxication.
Symptoms include dizziness, weakness, excessive perspiration,
nausea, and vomiting. Less commonly, low blood pressure, shock, heart
rhythm irregularities, and convulsions may occur, with very rare cases
resulting in death. We have no way of monitoring or controlling where
our bees collect honey, thus it may be possible, however not likely that
our honey may contain amounts of abovementioned flowers. The quality of
honey is a function of the plants and environment from which pollen,
saps, nectars and resins were gathered. Other substances found in the
environment including but not limited to; traces of heavy metals,
pesticides, and antibiotics may appear in our raw honey.
You understand and agree that the

agents, employees
shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential
or exemplary damages, including but not limited to, damages for loss of
profits, death, injury, sickness or other intangible losses, resulting
from the use or the inability to use the product(s) and or service(s) or
any misuse of the product(s) and or service(s) in a manner not in
accordance with their intended use.
I HAVE
READ THIS RELEASE OF LIABILITY AND ASSUMPTION OF RISK AGREEMENT, FULLY
UNDERSTAND ITS TERMS, AND OPEN AND USE RAW HONEY FREELY AND
VOLUNTARILY WITHOUT ANY INDUCEMENT.
I agree that if any portions of this Release and Agreement are
found to be unenforceable or against public policy, that only that
portion shall fail, but I specifically waive any un-enforceability or
any public policy argument that I may make or that may be made on behalf
of my estate or by anyone who would sue because of my injury or death.
